I’m Hone, a local carpenter based here in the Northern Rivers and the hands and heart behind Modern Earth Carpentry and Renovations.

I’ve been working with timber, tools, and textures for over 20 years, and I still get real satisfaction from building something that lasts. I started this business to do honest, high-quality renovation work with a focus on natural materials, clean lines, and solid craftsmanship.

I’m also a father, a partner, and a friend  and for me, this business is just as much about relationships as it is about the work itself. The trust you place in me to work on your home means something. I take pride in clear communication, showing up when I say I will, and treating every job with the care and attention it deserves.

Most of my projects are built by hand from demolition and carpentry to plastering and finishing and when I need extra hands, I bring in trusted local trades I know and respect. Whether it’s a bathroom renovation, deck build, or custom plaster finish, I approach each job like I’m doing it for my own family.
